About the instructor
Sam Taitel (they/them) is a mixed and queer martial artist based in Minneapolis, MN who began practicing aikido in New Jersey as a child. Over their 26 years on the mat, their training has included being an uchi-deshi (live-in student) at New York Aikikai as well as much domestic and international travel for seminars learning from various teachers throughout. Currently, the instructor who most inspires them is Osawa sensei. Sam tries to bring a curiosity to the dojo that invites play, questions, and care.
In lieu of a mat fee, Sam is requesting that donations be made to their neighborhood mutual aid fund: Greater Longfellow Neighbor Relief Fund.
